The Camera

Camera-

1. The obscura affect was basically the discovery of cameras. You get a dark room cut a tiny hole and it projects upside down on the other side.
2.  The invention was glass lenses.
3. The film was the last piece.
4. They still work the same way by passing light in and out of lens.
5. "Replacing old-fashioned plastic film, digital cameras capture the images with an electronic sensor called a CCD"

Camera Modes-

6. The main difference between the Program and Auto modes is that you can control flash and some other settings in Program.
7. The Portrait setting is used for portraits or photos that you would like the background blurred on to make the subject stand out more. It blurs out the background on photos by using a fast lens setting.
8. The Sports setting is used for taking photos of anything moving fast (sports is all about exercising). The camera will use the fastest shutter speed to get the best results.
9. In Manual Mode, the photographer must set all of the settings they want in the aperture or shutter themselves.

The Half Press-

10. You should do a Half Press because it reduces shutter lag, it helps the camera prepare, you have better focus in the photo or it could come out clearer, and it may help with the composition of the photo if you have shaky hands.

Controlling Flash-

11. The symbol means that flash is off.
12. The symbol means that flash will automatically activate should you try to take a photo until you change the settings.

Introduction to Exposure-

13. If there is too much light, the photo would look weirdly unrealistic.
14. If there is not enough light, the picture would be too dark to make out details.
The Universal Stop-
15. A stop is a representation of a certain amount of changed light.
16. It would be one stop brighter.
17. It would be two stops brighter.

The Shutters and Aperture-

18. A longer shutter speed means you will have more light in your photo.
19. A shorter shutter speed means you will have less light in your photo.
20. An aperture controls light.
21. You can increase the amount of light via the aperture if you open it up more.
