Lines
This picture represents the photo rule of lines. The lines on the building lead you to look at the smoke and people hanging of the building This puts more emphasis on the smoke and the people. This picture also displays rule of thirds because the edge of the building is off center.
Avoid Mergers
This photo doesn't follow the rule of avoiding mergers, but it shows you what to avoid in pictures. This shows what a bad picture would look like, a good picture would just not have the small black border around the picture. This picture could also represent simplicity because the picture is black and white and the guy in the middle is made clear to be the main focus. There is not much in the background to distract from the main focus.
Framing
This picture displays the rule of framing because the street lamp outlines and frames the explosion in the background. It also puts more emphasis on the explosion in the picture. This picture also represents
Rule of Thirds
This picture represents the rule of thirds because the helicopter which is the subject of the picture is in the top left corner of the screen.  Te background and the subject also compliment each other both putting emphasis on one another.
Simplicity
This picture represents the photo rule of simplicity because the majority of the photo is just the american flag, and that adds emphasis to the worn firefighter in the picture. I find that this picture although it represents simplicity is a very deep picture and can be interpreted in many different ways.
Balance
This picture represents the photo rule of balance because the background is very neutral and dark colors, making the people in this picture standout. Balance is created because the background puts emphasis on the people in the photo which is the subject of the picture.
