2. This story is about all of the popular trends and wide spread topics that occurred during the year of 2017. Majority of the story was about Trump and all of his ignorant actions that happened in 2017. Also the internet and music industry had a booming year in 2017.
3. Katie Holme has a clear opinion on Trump's tweets that happened this past year. "Let's start with something that needs to be wiped from this earth forever: Trump's twitter account." She said. This shows that she has a very strong opinion when it comes to Trump and his tweets. She did not care for them and believes that they should never happen again.
4. She does not mention how other people might feel about Trump's tweets. She stated in her story that, "most of us agree on this.."

2. This story is about Apple slowing down their older iPhone models in order to get people to buy the newest iPhones instead.
3. "The way I see it... Apple's goal with these updates aren't to protect the battery, but rather to promote its newer iPhone models." Ian clearly shows that he believes that the Apple company is in fact slowing down older models to encourage newer iPhone sales.

CHAT with NAT - How can we use our time better?
1. This story is written by Natalie Aman.
2. This story is about how you shouldn't just wait until New Years in order to begin setting goals for yourself. You cannot rely on wiping the slate clean at the start of each year, continuously set goals for yourself.
3. "Real goals are present every day; they don't simply start with New Years." Her opinion is that you should always be setting goals for yourself and making personal growth everyday, not only relying on one day of the year to "change you." The only way you can change you is by setting priorities and wanting that change for yourself.

Russia banned from Winter Olympics:
1. This story is written by Sumin Kim.
2. This story is about Russia was completely banned from the Winter Olympics due to the drug scandal during the 2012 London Olympics and 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
3. "In my opinion the IOC finally made the right decision after letting Russia get away with cheating for a long time." He clearly states that he fully supports this decision to kick Russia out of this year's Olympics because they have gotten away with it for so long and it's finally time for them to face the consequences.

A. I think the major differences between a hard news story and an opinion piece is that the opinion often only shows one side of the story. Majority of this opinion stories, the writer only talked about their opinion on the issue and did not mention the other sides of the argument. Also quotes are not often found in opinion pieces. This is very different from hard news stories that usually have at least 3 people being quoted throughout the story.
B. There are not very many photos on this page because opinions can come from an idea or concept and not necessary a certain event or action happening. Opinions can be over a vast topic and have many parts to it. Whereas, a hard news story typically covers a certain event happening.
C. Three topics that I think would be good to write an opinions piece on would be; gun violence, school policies ( such as homework or any school rules in place ) and politics. All of this subjects can be very opinionated and have lots of good arguments from either sides of them.
